Abdul Razak has returned to parent club Manchester City following an eye-catching loan stint at Championship side Portsmouth.
The teenage midfielder moved to Fratton Park on a one-month deal at the end of October and went on to make three appearances for Pompey.
He was handed a starting role in a 3-0 victory over Nottingham Forest and stepped off the bench in meetings with Derby and Watford.
He may have only spent a short amount of time on the South Coast, but he has made a lasting impression on the Pompey coaching staff.
New boss Michael Appleton admits he would have liked to have prolonged the 19-year-old's stay, but concedes that players of such promise will always be difficult to hang on to.

He told the club's
official website: "Abdul came on at Watford and did everything I would expect a midfield player to do, so it's disappointing that he has gone back.
"He's a talent that I would have liked to have worked with for longer to get the best out of him, particularly playing higher up the pitch because he can pick a pass out.
"But I don't blame Manchester City for wanting him back because they've got some big games coming up.
"If he gets utilised up there, that's fantastic. But if he doesn't play that many games the door here will not be shut, especially for one with the talent he has."
