Megson rues 'crazy' loss for Owls

Sheffield Wednesday boss Gary Megson blamed 15 minutes of "crazy football" for the 3-2 defeat at Carlisle.

After ex-Cumbrians loanee Ben Marshall have given the Owls a first-half lead, goals from Lee Miller, Rory Loy and Liam Noble just after half-time left the visitors reeling. Rob Jones headed home a late consolation but Gary Madine was dismissed against his former employers as the Owls' seven-game unbeaten run came to an end. Megson admitted: "It should have been over before half-time. We had chances to see it off. We started the second half okay but had 15 crazy minutes in which we found ourselves behind in a game we were controlling. "Gary's sending-off made life more difficult for us. From what I saw Gary has not touched anybody. It seems he was sent off for kicking fresh air. "Their fellows were booting Gary uphill and down dale and nothing happened to them. But when you come to a club you have left, your focus tends to waver a bit."
