Forward could return in the Middlesbrough fixture

Derby striker Nathan Tyson is set to feature in a closed-doors friendly next week as part of his rehabilitation from a groin injury. The summer signing has played just 25 minutes for the Rams so far this season, coming off in a pre-season game with Aston Villa and making a brief appearance against former club Nottingham Forest last month. The 29-year-old has since undergone minor surgery that has ruled him out of Saturday's Championship game against league leaders Southampton and Tuesday's trip to Reading. "Nathan will start training next week and we will organsie a private friendly next week, probably on the Wednesday, for him to play 45 or 60 minutes," said manager Nigel Clough. "Nathan probably won't come to Reading but if we have a friendly and he does okay, then he will be in contention for the game against Middlesbrough. "It has been frustrating for everybody that he has not been available but he is coming along well."
