Jones: Owls are raring to go

Sheffield Wednesday will go into the new season full of confidence after holding Stoke at the weekend, says skipper Rob Jones.

The Owls drew 0-0 with Tony Pulis' Premier League side on Saturday and Jones, a free summer signing from Scunthorpe following his loan spell at Hillsborough at the end of last season, said pre-season could hardly have gone better for Gary Megson's side. Jones said: "For a Premier League side to come here and us to get a clean sheet is fantastic. "We limited them to very few chances in the whole 90 minutes and that is testament to not only the back four, but the whole team. "We've had a great pre-season, the dressing room is bubbly and together and we're all looking forward to Saturday."
