Negotiations over a fee for Bury youngster continue

Skysports.com understands Doncaster Rovers are closing in on the signing of Bury's promising attacker Kyle Bennett. The 20-year-old joined Bury on a two-year contract last summer from Wolves and he scored twice in 35 appearances during his debut season at Gigg Lane. He can play in an attacking midfield role, or up front, and is now being targeted for a move to the Championship after helping the Shakers win promotion from League Two. Doncaster boss Sean O'Driscoll is busy trying to improve his squad for next season and is keen to add Bennett to his ranks. It is understood that the two clubs are in discussions to try to thrash out a fee for Bennett, who has 12 months remaining on his contract.
