Southampton have extended Richard Chaplow's loan spell from Preston North End until the end of December.
The 25-year-old midfielder's initial month-long deal ended after Tuesday night's win over Dagenham but he has agreed to stay until the turn of the year. Chaplow has made six appearances for Saints and will be eligible to feature in Saturday's FA Cup first-round clash with Shrewsbury.
