Saints defender helps to ease Doncaster's injury crisis

Doncaster Rovers have brought in Southampton defender Joseph Mills on an emergency one-month loan deal. Mills was signed in time to make his debut in Tuesday night's 3-2 home defeat by Derby County and was thrown straight into the starting line-up. He was booked in the Championship encounter before being substituted by manager Sean O'Driscoll inside the final 10 minutes. O'Driscoll moved to bring in the 20-year-old to ease an injury crisis which has left Doncaster short of options in defence. Mills, whose brother Matt previously played for Doncaster, has made three substitute appearances for Southampton this season and had a spell on loan at Scunthorpe United in 2009.
