Keeper suffers wrist fracture in training

Derby goalkeeper Stephen Bywater faces a spell on the sidelines after picking up a wrist injury. Bywater suffered the injury in training last week and scans have shown a small fracture which is expected to keep the former West Ham man out of action for the next couple of weeks. Rams boss Nigel Clough is refusing to put a timescale on Bywater's return, but admitted the injury was a worry for the side. "Obviously Stephen's injury is a concern to us, however, it is an injury we are not prepared to put a timeframe on just yet," Clough told the club's official website. "Stephen is the sort of character who will want to play regardless and in this instance we must ensure that he doesn't make the injury worse." Saul Deeney is now set for an extended run in the team in the absence of Bywater.
