Chester are locked in talks with Doncaster over Ricky Ravenhill and Andy Warrington.
The Blues have moved for the Rovers duo having completed the signing of former defender Phil Bolland.
Bolland has returned to Chester on a two-year deal after spending last season with Peterborough.
Chairman Stephen Vaughan is now looking to seal a move for midfielder Ravenhill and goalkeeper Warrington.
"The Bolland deal is done and dusted and he has put pen-to-paper," said Vaughan.
"I have agreed a five-figure fee with John Ryan for Ricky Ravenhill and now Mark Wright will discuss personal terms with the player and his agent.
"We are also in discussions with Doncaster over Andy Warrington and it looks like it's going to be a busy few days but we're getting there."
Chester also remain interested in Exeter's Glenn Cronin and Jamie Tolley of Shrewsbury.
