Doncaster Rovers have secured the services of two more key players at Belle Vue until the summer of 2008.

Donny defender Sean McDaid (pictured), who came from Leeds United, has signed a new two-year contract while Steve Roberts has agreed an extension to his deal.

Roberts, who joined the Rovers from Wrexham, has added an extra year to his contract, which had been set to end in 2007.

Meanwhile, Dave Mulligan and Kevin Horlock remain in talks with the club.

All four played at the weekend in the 3-1 win over local rivals Rotherham United and the news will come as a welcome boost to the team's bid for promotion.

With just six games remaining they head to Yeovil on Saturday needing a win.

The club are currently in ninth position, just six points off Oldham and Swansea in the League One play-off spots.
