Doncaster Rovers have handed new contracts to star duo Michael McIndoe and Gregg Blundell.

McIndoe arrived at the club last summer from Yeovil and helped inspire Rovers with his displays from midfield - which saw him claim 10 goals.

The Scot has agreed a new three-year deal, while Blundell has signed a two-year contract.

Like McIndoe, Blundell joined last year when he was picked up from Northwich.

Blundell has since proved himself in the Football League and bagged 20 goals last season.

"This shows the ambition of this club by making sure we hang on to all our best players especially the young ones," said chairman John Ryan.

Two players on their way out of Belle Vue are Robert Gill and Steve Burton.

The pair have left  the League One new boys to join Conference side Scarborough for next season.
