Tranmere playmaker Andy Robinson is hopeful of continuing at Prenton Park next season.
The 33-year-old has been one of Rovers' leading performers this term and is out of contract in the season.
But former former Swansea man Robinson believes there is a clause in his deal that will allow for another assault at League One promotion next year.
He told the Liverpool Echo: "I want to play for as long as I can. I love the game. I'm a passionate lad and it is all I know.
"Football has been my life since a young age so I am going to play for as long as these little legs let me get around the pitch.
"I think there's something in place with my contract. I think we will sit down at the end of the season and see where that goes."
