Ronnie Moore was left to rue injuries to two of his players after Tranmere won 3-0 at Braintree in the re-arranged FA Cup first round tie.
Joe Thompson and Ash Taylor were both forced off the field after sustaining injuries against the Blue Square Bet Premier side, adding to an already lengthy list of absentees. Thompson's thigh strain and Taylor's hamstring problem is set to rule both players out of the Friday night clash with MK Dons. Moore said: "The injuries are ridiculous. Another wide man goes with a thigh strain, a centre-half goes off with a hamstring injury. "We'll be very lucky if we can patch a side together for the MK Dons clash on Friday." Moore added: "Overall, I'm pleased with the result. It wasn't a sparkling performance but when you come to grounds like this you have to knuckle down and that's what we did."
