Moore pleased to reclaim pole

Ronnie Moore is delighted to keep proving the doubters wrong after Tranmere beat Hartlepool 2-0 to reclaim top spot in League One.

After three games without a win, Rovers were overtaken by Sheffield United and Stevenage, but victory put them back at the summit. Andy Robinson's 79th-minute penalty was followed by Cole Stockton's injury-time strike to extend Pools' winless run to 15. The Rovers manager said: "We've gone top and a lot of people thought we could slip up in this one, we never did we. We knew a draw would take us top and three takes us clear now. "We had to be patient in the first half - we were a bit edgy I don't know why. "They should have scored at the start of the half and the keeper made a save to keep us in it. "Then so many saves are made, so many balls put across the box and you wonder if it's our night. Then James Wallace gets on the ball and is tripped, it's a penalty no doubt."
