Dean beaming as Shots cruise

Dean Holdsworth could hardly contain his delight after Aldershot made it five league wins on the bounce with a 4-1 win over Barnet.

Striker Guy Madjo scored twice with Danny Hylton and Troy Brown also on target as the Shots made club history in the process having never previously won five league games on the trot as a Football League club. Substitute Charlie Taylor pulled one back for Barnet but it was nothing more than a consolation, leaving former Wimbledon striker Holdsworth purring with delight. "After scoring the first goal it was a case of carrying on and doing the right thing," he said. "I think the players are really buying in to what we're trying to achieve here, I was absolutely delighted with Madjo's goals, he's really been putting the effort in. "It was a good team performance and confidence is always the key to everything. For the second goal it was hard work, endeavour, quality and delivery and Hylton was on the end of it, it was a training ground goal. "No-one's more proud than me that they are out there scoring goals and I'm always looking for the next goal, you don't feel comfortable until you've won the game. They are a young squad and impressionable, they learn very quickly which is good because football is an unforgiving place."
