Parry hits back at boo boys

Les Parry hit out at Tranmere's travelling fans after his side went down 1-0 at Oldham.

Rovers have slumped into relegation trouble with a run of just one victory in four months and Parry faced calls for his head throughout the second half at Boundary Park. Oldham's Shefki Kuqi was the matchwinner with a 48th-minute penalty and Parry said: "I understand our fans being frustrated. "We are all very disappointed, but I would have liked them to get behind the lads instead of having a go at me for the whole of the second half. "They have paid their money and can do what they like, but the lads have told me it had the adverse effect. They could hear what was being at sung at me and it would have been nice if people had got behind the players instead. "We had 45 minutes to score a goal after Oldham went in front, but the fans seemed intent on having a go at me."
