Everton boss confirms he is an admirer of Cliftonville striker

Everton manager David Moyes has confirmed he is keen to sign highly-rated Cliftonville striker Rory Donnelly. Donnelly is attracting attention from a number of other Premier League clubs, with Cliftonville revealing earlier in the week that they had been contacted by Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish. Swansea are also among the frontrunners for his signature and Brendan Rodgers has said he is still hopeful of concluding a deal after agreeing a fee with the Northern Irish club. However, skysports.com also revealed last week that Everton were rivalling Swansea for the 19-year-old's signature, and Moyes has now admitted his interest. Moyes understands that the two clubs have been in talks and says the Toffees are very much in contention to land Donnelly. "We are in there trying to see what the situation is," he told Everton's official website. "I think the chairman has spoken to the chairman there and we are in and around that one."
