AFC Wimbledon boss Terry Brown was left to bemoan "criminal defending" for allowing Adam Dugdale to score for Crewe in their 3-1 win.
The scores were level with 11 minutes remaining when Dugdale headed home to put Crewe back in front after Christian Jolley had cancelled out Nick Powell's opener. Ajay Leitch-Smith adding a third for the Alex in the closing stages. Brown said: "I was delighted with the first-half performance, I thought it was about as well as we had played this year - we got it down and cut them apart. But I thought both of our full-backs could have done better and the second goal was criminal for me. "They aren't a big side, they aren't a physical side, they've got one bloke who can head the ball in Dugdale and the centre-half I have designated to mark him didn't mark him. "He was marking someone else, so that is just criminal defending, and if I look at why we lost then the defending simply wasn't good enough. "I really feel that of all days, had we got our noses in front, which we should have done, that it would have been a different ball game. We wouldn't have had to press so hard and they basically like to hit you on the break."
