Tranmere boss Les Parry has paid tribute to Dale Jennings following his impressive rise to prominence this season.
The 18-year-old forward has been shortlisted as Football Manager Apprentice of the Year in League One. Southampton's highly-rated Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and George Baldock from MK Dons are also nominated in the Football League Awards 2011. Parry said: "Dale thoroughly deserves this nomination. He has had an excellent start to life in the first team and has coped well with the pressures involved. "He's a rounded, confident young man who has huge potential and is a pleasure to work with."
