Chester have completed the signing of Kevin Ellison from Tranmere.

The winger, who had six months at Chester in 2004, has signed a three-year deal with the club.

Chester and Tranmere had difficulty agreeing a fee for Ellison but finally settled on an undisclosed amount over the weekend.

Ellison's personal terms have now been finalised and he will be keen to make an impression at The Saunders Honda Stadium.

Chester have also been linked with a move for 36-year-old goalkeeper Gavin ward, who was released by Tranmere last month.
