Carlisle have extended the loan deal of Sheffield Wednesday's Matt Young until the end of the season.
The 21-year-old defender joined the Cumbrians earlier this month has made three appearances so far. "Matt has come in and settled into the back four extremely well," boss Keith Curle told the official club website. "His application to his profession is fantastic to see and that rubs off on those around him. "His willingness to work has been replicated, and the more people you have in the dressing room who are like that, the better it becomes. "He still has things to work on but he's enjoying himself here and I know he's looking forward to being part of the hard work to come." Young moved to Hillsborough in June last year on a one-year deal having spent three years in Southampton's development squad.
