Troy Archibald-Henville will not be extending his loan deal at Carlisle United for now as an injury has forced him back to Swindon Town.
The defender has aggravated a knee problem during his time with the Cumbrians and has returned to Swindon for medical checks.
He had been enjoying a productive spell with Carlisle, making four appearances.
There was talk that he would be allowed to stay on at Brunton Park in an effort to get further game time under his belt.
Extension discussions have, however, been put on hold until Archibald-Henville works his way back to full fitness.
Swindon boss Mark Cooper told the Advertiser: "Troy didn't play on Saturday as his knee was troubling him again and he's back being assessed.
"We'll have to wait and see how he is before any decision is made."
