Kearns open to Minstermen stay

York's on-loan midfielder Danny Kearns has not ruled out an extension to his month-long stay at Bootham Crescent.

The 21-year-old has played in all three of the Minstermen's games since arriving from Peterborough earlier this month, starting the last two matches against Coventry and Bradford. "Whether I stay for longer than a month depends on what happens during the next couple of weeks and how many games I play, as well as what people think and what York think," Kearns told the York Press. "When it comes to that time I will chat to the manager here and at Peterborough to see what everybody thinks." Kearns, a product of West Ham's Academy, made 21 appearances for Peterborough last season, but has struggled to win back his place in Darren Ferguson's starting line-up following an injury sustained in the summer.
