Disappointed Carlisle boss Greg Abbott admitted his side's 4-0 hammering at the hands of Brentford was an embarrassment.
Loan signing Saido Berahino tore the Cumbrians apart with a brace on his Bees debut as they cruised to a comfortable win over their play off rivals.
The West Brom striker came off the bench to hit two quality goals in a one-sided affair. Harlee Dean and Sam Saunders added to the Blues' misery with first half strikes that sent the Londoners in 3-0 up at the break.
And Abbott did not mince his words after the thrashing, which saw his side manage just one effort on goal in the 90 minutes.
He said: "We fell well short of the standards that we have set this season so to that extent I am extremely disappointed.
"We wanted people to see what we can do on television, but from the moment they scored their first goal and then added to it with poor goals from our perspective, the writing was on the wall."
