Noble not keen to compromise

Carlisle's Liam Noble says he will not alter his tough-tackling style despite receiving one sending off last season.

The 20-year-old Sunderland midfielder, who also received seven yellow cards last season, has returned to Brunton Park on loan until January following his successful loan spell at the club last season, where he made 24 appearances and scored three goals. "Fighting for the ball is my game and I won't change that," he told the News & Star. "I've maybe calmed down a little bit but if there is a ball there to win, I'll be trying to win it all the time. "That's my game and I can not take that out of me. "I'll always fight for the ball and I'm a willing worker who will give 110 per cent every week. "I think we will definitely be fighting for the play-offs here, if not automatic promotion, because we have a good enough squad, and I want to play a part in that."
