Double deal boost for Pools

Hartlepool have been further boosted after goalkeeper Scott Flinders and midfielder Antony Sweeney penned new contracts.

Flinders joined Pools back in June 2009 after being released by Crystal Palace and, during his two seasons at Victoria Park, he has firmly established himself as the club's first-choice stopper. Sweeney has been linked with a number of higher-placed clubs and his 14 goals helped him scoop the Fans' and Players' Player of the Year awards for 2010/2011. However, the Stockton-on-Tees-born player has committed himself to the club on a new deal along with several of his team-mates.
