Warnock lets defender move on

Pascal Chimbonda has left Queens Park Rangers after failing to establish himself at Loftus Road. The former Tottenham and Wigan defender only joined QPR on a six-month deal in January after being released by Blackburn. The 32-year-old failed to start a single game for Championship leaders QPR and Neil Warnock has decided not to offer the defender a contract extension. "I didn't think there was any point in not telling him early, so he could get fixed up," said Warnock. "I haven't seen him. He's not been training with us, although he'd be quite welcome to." Chimbonda's final appearance for QPR was as a second-half substitute in their recent 4-1 defeat at Scunthorpe.
