Shrewsbury Town have completed the signing of former Carlisle defender David Raven.
The 25-year-old centre-half was released by the Cumbrians at the end of last season and has penned a one-year deal after passing a medical on Friday.
Raven becomes the third player to move to the Greenhous Meadow Stadium this summer following the arrivals of Ian Sharps and Mat Sadler.
Shrews manager Graham Turner is pleased to bring a player with Raven's experience to the club.
He told the club's official website: "It is great news that a player of David's experience has agreed to come and join Shrewsbury.
"He can play on the right side of defence or in the centre and this will bring in more good quality competition for places to the squad."
