Striker agrees pre-contract at Tannadice

Dundee United have confirmed Danny Cadamarteri has agreed a pre-contract deal to join the club. As revealed by skysports.com earlier this week, Cadamarteri has agreed a free transfer to Tannadice after leaving Huddersfield. Cadamarteri rejected a new deal at Huddersfield and he has now accepted a two-year contract at Dundee United. The former Everton man will finalise the move later this summer and United boss Craig Levein was delighted to land the versatile forward. "Danny can play as a striker and a winger so brings versatility and experience to the team," Levein told Dundee United's official website. "He not only provides width to the team but also pace and power to the attack, adding to the options already available. "He also provides experience, which is very important given the relatively young squad we have here at Tannadice. "After a very bright start, his career has stalled a bit recently, but I believe that his best years have still to come. In my view he will strengthen an already impressive squad for next season's campaign."
