Carlisle boss Greg Abbott is waiting for Danny Graham to make a decision on a 'tremendous offer'.

Cumbrians hoping star striker will stay at Brunton Park

Carlisle United manager Greg Abbott is waiting for leading scorer Danny Graham to make a decision on a 'tremendous offer'. Graham is out of contract in the summer and has been offered a two-year deal to stay at Brunton Park. Abbott believes the striker is happy at Carlisle, but concedes he will have to be in a position to sign a replacement if Graham decides to leave the club. "Danny Graham has been made a tremendous offer from the club and he now has time to think about it and digest it," Abbott told the club's official website. "If he can do better at other clubs then he might decide that's what he wants to do, but I know that he is happy here and that he likes the people he works with. "Only Danny knows what his final decision will be at the moment. We have to be ready to react if he does decide to turn us down, so we can plan for that whilst waiting to see if he does accept our contract offer, but it's only right that we give him the time he needs to make his decision." Ian Harte, Tony Kane, David Raven, Adam Collin and Gavin Rothery have also been offered new deals, but Danny Carlton, Chris Howarth, Luke Joyce, Chris Lumsdon, Lewis Neal and Jeff Smith are being released.
