Huddersfield manager Lee Clark has spoken of a desire to open contract talks with in-form striker Danny Cadamarteri.
The former Everton man, whose current deal expires in the summer, has been one of Huddersfield's most impressive performers since Clark took the reins at the Galpharm Stadium in December.
Having made another key contribution in his side's 1-0 defeat of Carlisle over the Easter weekend, Cadamarteri has emerged as a player Clark is desperate to keep.
"We envisage having talks in the next couple of days," said Clark.
"Since he has come back into the side after the injury situation he has made a huge contribution.
"He has been terrific and I can only speak from what I've seen and my staff that he has been nothing short of terrific.
"When he's on the pitch he does make a huge contribution and does produce the goods.
"The talent has never been in doubt, but the question has been about getting him on the pitch on a weekly basis."
