Gretna defender Danny Grainger will join Dundee United when the transfer window reopens.
The left-back has opted to end his five-and-a-half year association with Gretna to join United next week.
He has made 10 appearances in the SPL this season and marked his final game for the club with a goal against Kilmarnock earlier this month.
Grainger will not feature in Gretna's clash with champions Celtic this weekend and will officially move to Tannadice on 1st January.
United have enjoyed a fine season to date, with Craig Levein's side currently occupying fourth spot in the SPL.
