Swansea boss Brendan Rodgers admitted it was a 'fairytale' ending for his side as they rounded off the campaign with a 1-0 win over Liverpool.
Danny Graham's late goal ensured Swansea finished a memorable first season in the Premier League with another famous scalp.
Swansea have proved all the critics, who tipped them to suffer relegation, wrong by finishing in 11th spot and winning a whole host of new admirers with their attractive style of football and Rodgers was delighted for his players.
"It was a fairytale ending for us, it has been a great journey for us," said Rodgers.
"We've been underdogs from the off, but we have shown we are here to compete and play how we wanted to play and to beat Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool in our first season [in the Premier League] makes me very proud.
"The players were outstanding today and that is 14 clean sheets now which is phenomenal.
"I think we can improve and get better next season.
"To finish 11th is fantastic and we have got to keep improving as this will be the last time the group will be together as a whole and we need to recycle the group.
"We celebrate the success of a fantastic first season and the players deserved their lap of honour for having the courage to play and they take all the credit.
"It has been an incredible season and we will try and move forward with renewed motivation."
