Promising centre-back Steven Caulker admits he is looking forward to spending the rest of the Premier League season with Swansea.
The 20-year-old is currently on loan at the Liberty Stadium from Tottenham and might have found himself back at White Hart Lane before the winter transfer window closed.
Spurs boss Harry Redknapp opted against bringing the England Under 21 international back to the club and he will now finish his first top flight campaign in South Wales.
"It's been nice because I've been playing every game when I've been fit," said Caulker in the Evening Post.
"I'm delighted to be here because Swansea is a great club and the team plays great football.
"I did speak to Spurs but obviously they wanted me to get games and I wanted to get games.
"I think it's in everyone's best interests for me to stay here and keep doing what I'm doing."
Top half
And now the stopper, who has spent the last two campaigns on loan at Yeovil and Bristol City, has set his sights on a top-half finish with Brendan Rodgers' side.
"We're looking to finish in the top half of the table," he said.
"We want to continue our good run. Our home form has been fantastic, only losing the one game. The boys are really confident we can get results and we cherish every game at home."
