Dutch midfielder suffers knee injury in reserve match

Swansea have been dealt a blow after Dutch midfielder Ferrie Bodde picked up a knee injury in a reserve game against Arsenal on Wednesday night. Bodde has flown home to Holland to consult a surgeon about the right knee injury he suffered in a challenge after just two minutes of the game at Parc y Scarlets. The good news for Bodde is that the injury is not to the same knee which required two operations and saw him miss almost three years of action. Swansea head physio Kate Rees told the club's official website: "At the moment there is a lot of swelling around the knee. "We may have to wait for that swelling to go down before his surgeon in Holland is able to give us a full diagnosis." Swansea's Spanish midfielder Andrea Orlandi has also joined the injured list after being ruled out for up to six weeks with a hamstring strain.
