Swansea pair Ferrie Bodde and Alan Tate are approaching a successful comeback from injury after both players came through a reserve practice match at Hereford unscathed on Wednesday.
Dutchman Bodde - who has endured a nightmare three-year injury spell due to a knee problem - was making his first appearance since a pre-season match at Port Talbot, though the midfielder's last competitive outing came against Peterborough back in February 2010.
Experienced defender Tate, meanwhile - who has made 250 league appearances for the Swans - was returning after breaking his leg in the Welsh club's opening Premier League fixture of the season at Manchester City.
And there were also appearances from Swansea's two new 19-year-old signings, Darnel Situ and Rory Donnelly.
Situ, a French defender bought from Lens at a cost of £250,000 and Donnelly, signed from Cliftonville in Northern Ireland, both completed the full 90 minutes on their debuts in a 1-0 success for Swansea.
The game was decided by a second-half penalty from Welsh under-21 defender Daniel Alfei.
