Brendan Rodgers: Admits it is 'wait and see' regarding John Goossens' potential move to South Wales
Swansea boss Brendan Rodgers admits it is 'wait and see' regarding John Goossens' potential move to South Wales.
Goossens is out of contract at NEC at the end of the season and the Eredivisie outfit do not want to risk losing him on a free transfer in the summer.
Regarding the Holland Under-21 cap, Rodgers said: "He is a player among a number of players we are looking at. He is a very good technician.
Important
"He's a central player who can also play wide, he is a very technical player with a great shot and he can deal with the ball which is important and he can play in a couple of positions.
"He came through the system at Ajax, moved to NEC and he is a young player who can develop. Whether we choose to go down that route we will wait and see."
But the player himself insists his potential transfer is "certainly not yet complete" and he is concentrating solely on affairs on the pitch up to the winter break.
"All I can do is play football and enjoy myself 100 per cent committed to NEC," he told NECToday.nl.
