Swansea defender Ashley Richards insists he is not fazed by the prospect of making his first Premier League start against Blackburn on Saturday.
The 20-year-old is set to be included in the starting line-up after regular right-back Angel Rangel was ruled out for a month.
Indeed, it was Richards who replaced Rangel in the 0-0 draw at home to Aston Villa last weekend.
The Wales Under-21 captain also played 16 minutes in the defeat at Norwich in October but Ewood Park could be the scene for his first ever full-debut.
Richards said: "With Angel out, hopefully the manager will play me and give me a chance to show what I can do.
"I'm gutted for Angel, but it could be a chance for me to play.
"I'm ready for it. It was a great test for me against Aston Villa, but Blackburn have some really dangerous players too.
"Even though they are low down in the league you can't underestimate them at all because they have good players.
"Junior Hoillett has been playing down their left flank this season and he has been in good form, so that would be another big test for me.
"If I am selected in the XI then it would be my first Premier League start for Swansea - it doesn't get any better than that."
