Gers loanee keen to stay in McCoist's line-up

Fit-again Rangers loanee Kyle Bartley is aiming to stay in Ally McCoist's side after making his return against Dundee United. The Arsenal defender has sat out much of the SPL season to date after missing three months following a hernia operation. Bartley slotted into the middle of the park against the Tangerines and helped the champions run out 3-1 winners at Ibrox. The 20-year-old insists he had 'unfinished business' with Gers, but sees his long-term future very much with the Gunners.

Unfinished

"I played a bounce game last week and didn't think I'd be back so quickly," he told the Scotsman. "But Lee McCulloch got injured, unfortunately, and now that I'm in I hope to keep my place and stay injury-free for the rest of the season. "I had options in the summer and could have stayed at Arsenal, but when I got injured at the end of last season I felt that I had unfinished business at Rangers. "It's a fantastic club and it's a good place for me to learn. "I signed a long-term contract before I came out on loan. I see my long-term future at Arsenal and I'll go back at the end of the season and try to break into the team."
