Skysports.com understands Swansea have invited Greece international Vangelis Moras to join them on trial as they look to bolster their defensive options.
Brendan Rodgers has seen his backline hit hard by injuries in the opening weeks of the season and is keen to bring in additional cover.
The 30-year-old Moras is available as a free agent after his four-year stay with Bologna came to an end in the summer.
The former Larissa and AEK Athens man is due to arrive in South Wales on Sunday so that Rodgers and his coaching staff can run the rule over him.
With Alan Tate (broken leg) and Steven Caulker (knee) on the treatment table, the addition of Moras would give the Liberty Stadium outfit an additional option at the back.
