Boro tell Swans to get serious

Mowbray says there is no pressure to sell Lita and Emnes

Middlesbrough manager Tony Mowbray has called on Swansea City to make a 'serious offer' for Leroy Lita or Marvin Emnes if they are realistic about signing either player. Skysports.com revealed earlier in the week that Premier League new boys Swansea had offered under £1million for Boro striker Lita. The Swans also hold an interest in Emnes after the Dutch attacker impressed during a loan spell at the Liberty Stadium during the first half of last season. However, Mowbray insists he is under no pressure to sell either player and has suggested Swansea will have to considerably increase their bid for Lita.

Realistic

"They (Swansea) might have been in touch but there has been no realistic interest in Marvin or Leroy," Mowbray told the club's official website. "I have no great interest in selling either of them. If clubs come to talk then they will have to be realistic. "If Swansea are interested in one of our players then they have to make what I consider to be a serious offer. "We don't need to do this or that, we will get on with it if it's the squad we have in August. There is no fire sale here. "We just have to keep working on it. If there are offers coming in then nothing is interesting us so far - they are a long way short of our expectations." Meanwhile, Mowbray has confirmed he expects to see Kris Boyd and Didier Digard back for the start of Boro's pre-season training next Thursday following speculation linking them with moves away from the Riverside after they ended last season on loan at Nottingham Forest and Nice respectively.
