Leicester manager hoping to sign Spurs defender

Leicester manager Sven Goran Eriksson has admitted it will be difficult to sign Kyle Naughton on a permanent deal. The 22-year-old right-back joined the Foxes on loan from Tottenham in October and went on to produce a series of impressive performances. Eriksson has made no secret of his desire to keep Naughton but fears Spurs may price the youngster out of Leicester's range. He will continue to monitor the situation before making a final decision, telling Radio Leicester: "It's possible to take Kyle but he is extremely expensive. "The club wants too much money for a defender but of course, he is a great football player. We'll see." Meanwhile, former Foxes striker Ashley Chambers has signed a permanent contract with York City following a successful loan spell with the Minstermen. The 21-year-old became Leicester's youngest ever player when he made his debut aged just 15 in 2005 but was released earlier this month.
