Young full-back keen to impress at Walsall

Walsall defender Netan Sansara admits that he is keen to extend his current contract with the club. The 20-year-old left-back has started 11 games for Walsall so far this season, although his current deal with the Saddlers expires at the end of the campaign. Sansara is hoping to stay at the Banks's Stadium beyond June and wants to repay manager Chris Hutchings for giving him a chance to prove himself. "I want my long term future secure, in football that's what every player wants," he told the Express & Star. "I'm no different, I know I'm young and might have to work an extra bit harder but I'm willing to do that. "My performances on the pitch have begun to show maturity and hopefully I can stay in the team and earn a nice new deal. "I'm glad the gaffer has shown faith in me and I can repay him in on the pitch. "At the start of the season he sat down with me and said I'll get my chance and it was up to me to take it. He's seen I can do a job now." Walsall's next game is a home clash against Brighton in League One on Saturday.
