League One Pro-Life

Well things have really improved for me in the last month as I have finally managed to put my injury problems behind me.

I have certainly not been able to play as much as I would have liked so far this season but I managed to get back on the scoresheet against Chesterfield which was great as you don't want to take too long to get back into the swing of things.

Obviously some results have not been going our way on the field with a couple of defeats but we managed to get the win at Chesterfield last weekend and that has seen us move into eighth.

That shows how close the league is and again going to Saltergate is not easy. I was delighted to get both goals as well as set up the other.

I am not really one of these players to be worried by not scoring and this season my record maintains that I am doing okay, after all I have started just six games and managed five goals.

I am now hoping for that run of games and hopefully we can as a club move up the league as we have started to do.

Off the field, I have heard the manager get some criticism in recent weeks, which to be honest I think is unbelievably harsh - I really think he has, and is still doing a great job.

He took us up and in his first season we won the Football League Trophy and lost out on promotion in the play-offs so I don't see how that is a bad effort at all.

On the Football League Trophy we managed to negotiate our way through to the second round with victory over Walsall on penalties and another trip to Cardiff would be good, but obviously promotion remains our main goal.

I am now concentrating on Millwall for Sunday and I am determined to add to my league tally again although it is never easy against Millwall, but hopefully we should prove too strong for them at The Liberty.

Do you prefer playing against teams when their fans are giving you stick?

For me it is just like playing at home really in terms that you are being noticed. I think it is always a sign that you are a danger or that you are doing something good, so I have always liked it.

Lee, what has to be your worst moment in football?

Well Liam as I touched upon in this month's column the play-off final still hurts an awful lot and that would have to be my worst moment, I have never felt like that in football before and hopefully I won't again.
