Swansea City have ruled out striker Adebayo Akinfenwa departing the club on loan.
The 24-year-old has been on The Swans' bench for their last two League One games, leading to speculation regarding his future.
Gillingham were linked with a move for the striker, but Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins is not interested in allowing him to leave.
Jenkins is pleased with the squad's competition for places and is impressed with Akinfenwa's performances as a substitute.
"We don't want him to go on loan to Gillingham or any other club," explained Jenkins. "We need competition for places.
"I think most people would agree that Akinfenwa has done very well off the bench in the past couple of games and might now get a run in the side."
