It is great to be back on skysports.com, I really enjoyed last season and I just hope this can be an even better one.
Well it must be said we did not have a great start to the new campaign, I was suspended so it was quite infuriating I could not start the opening games.
But I have personally managed to come in and have started two games, scoring two goals - and also helped us to our first win on Saturday.
It is strange that Doncaster on paper was probably our hardest game, but we have managed to win that - but not the rest.
Our sprit is still very good at the club though, we know what we are capable of but we have to show it and that starts this weekend at Leyton Orient.
Many would have been shocked to our opening loss to Cheltenham and I suspect a few betting coupons were ruined by us that day, but as I said we have progressed and have got our first win under our belts which is important.
We know the whole season is a marathon and not sprint, just look at last year and how things went for us.
This season will be hard no doubt and in many ways I think it could be harder, there are a lot of teams who look very similar and League One could be the closest division out of all the leagues.
Since the end of last season a few Republic of Ireland squads have been named and I must admit I am a bit disappointed not to have been involved.
I haven't spoken to Steve Staunton but I did think I had a chance, but there are a number of qualifiers to play over the next two years and I am still confident I can score enough goals to get myself into the reckoning.
Many of you have been sending me some nice messages over the summer, and I would just at this point like to thank you for you kind words.
