Grimsby Town have secured the services of Swansea winger Marc Goodfellow.

The former Bristol city flyer has set the seal on a contract that will see him remain at Blundell Park for the remainder of the season.

Goodfellow has made just 11 appearances for The Swans after joining them during the summer, coming off the bench on six of those occasions.

As well as providing ammunition, the former Stoke City trainee is also happy to fire the shots, notching 14 goals in 44 first team starts over the past five-and-a-half years.

Grimsby manager Russell Slade will be hoping that the 25-year-old will be able to provide some much-needed width to his team, having seen their promotion push falter over recent weeks.

Goodfellow's arrival comes striker Gary Cohen made his loan with The Mariners a permanent arrangment on Tuesday.

The 21-year-old has signed a deal until the summer of 2007 after severing his ties with Scottish Second Division leaders Gretna.
