Swindon Town boss Andy King has suggested that Swansea are likely to pip him to the signature of Owain Tudor Jones.

The young Welshman has been handed a month-long deal by Swansea after being lured away from Bangor City.

The midfielder has been informed he will be handed a long-term deal if he impresses over the next four weeks, and he started brightly by producing a polished display against Forest Green.

Swindon boss King was an interested spectator at the game and spoke in glowing terms after the contest.

King has revealed he made an offer for the 21-year-old, but feels he will remain with The Swans.

"He impressed me immensely and I made a bid for him, but it seems as though Swansea have got him," said King.

"In the future he will be a very good player and he impressed me with his displays.

"He may come back and say he will choose Swindon, but it's doubtful."
