Swansea City manager Kenny Jackett is hoping referee Eddie Evans was not deliberately pushed over by one of his players during the stormy clash with Shrewsbury Town.
The Welsh outfit lost 2-0 at Gay Meadow on Saturday and had both Garry Monk and Andy Robinson sent off in the minutes leading up to half time.
Monk's dismissal for a second yellow card sparked a melee near the touchline, which ended with Evans tumbling to the turf.
Video evidence is unclear as to whether Evans merely fell or was pushed by one of the players in the scrum, with Jackett hoping none of his troops were involved.
"I hope not," responded Jackett, when asked whether a Swansea player shoved Evans.
"From where I was standing, it looked like the sheer weight of players around him had put him on his back.
"I spoke to the referee about it after the game and that was his view of it as well. He wasn't pushed by one player."
Jackett admits he was disappointed with the dismissals of Monk and Robinson and is considering what punishment to dish out to the players.
"I'm very disappointed to have two players sent off," he added.
"What my action will be regarding those two players, I will have to think about over the next 48 hours."
