Boundary Park may have four sides once more when Oldham welcome Liverpool in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
The cash-strapped League One outfit have had to make do with three stands since the demolition of the Lookers Stand in 2008. But Saturday's shock cup triumph over Nottingham Forest and the subsequent prospect of Brendan Rodgers' Barclays Premier League giants heading to the 108-year-old stadium means demand is likely to far outstrip the current 10,638 capacity. And chairman Simon Corney has revealed he is set to examine the possibility of putting up a temporary stand for the match on the Broadway side of the ground. "It will be a great day for the fans and a great day for the town of Oldham and I couldn't be happier," Corney told the Manchester Evening News. "We'll look at bringing in a temporary stand if health and safety regulations will allow it and if it makes financial sense." Latics 3-2 victory at the City Ground came at the end of a turbulent week when three members of boss Paul Dickov's backroom staff were placed on gardening leave, and Corney insists he will look to reward his manager in the transfer market with the proceeds of the cup windfall. He added: "It's been a great end to a hard week. We'll be measured with the money but it's only fair we help the manager."
